How the Ressources federation gave Belgium’s circular economy one marketplace
Ressources federates the reuse, recycling and refurbishing structures of Belgium’s social economy. With La Récup, built by the Kreezalid team on the Kreezalid platform, it gave that scattered ecosystem one shop window: a geolocated directory of member structures, their second-hand products in a single catalogue, and click-and-collect to bring buyers into their shops.

The challenge
Belgium’s circular economy runs on a dense network of reuse shops, social enterprises, recycling structures and repair workshops. The offer existed, the expertise existed, but the information was scattered: no single place to find the right structure by location or speciality, no common way of presenting them, little visibility beyond their own region, and no tools to moderate and steer contributions over time. The federation did not need another directory. It needed to turn a sector into something people could search, buy from and measure.
The solution
The Kreezalid team scoped the model with the federation — types of structures, search criteria, governance, administration needs — then built La Récup on the Kreezalid platform with a theme of its own. Buyers search products by postcode, sector, type of structure and the vocabulary of the circular economy, and either collect in the shop or have the item shipped. Member structures register through a dedicated flow, run their own shop and sell with card and Bancontact payments. The federation moderates, follows contributions and reads the activity of the whole platform from one back office.
What it enables
One credible entry point to the sector, for buyers, local authorities and partners alike; a consolidated, consistent view of the offer for the federation; and a model designed for Wallonia that can be replicated for other regions. The platform keeps evolving with its sellers: the cart and checkout designed for La Récup were brought into the Kreezalid platform in 2026, its sales are measured in GA4, and its sellers now work from the Kreezalid vendor workspace.
What the marketplace does
- Directory
Geolocated member structures
Every structure has a page and a location; a store locator and search by postcode put buyers in front of the nearest shop.
- Catalogue
One search for the whole sector
Products searched by sector, type of structure, product type and the keywords of the circular economy, across 50,000+ references.
- Fulfilment
Click & collect or shipping
Buyers collect in the structure’s shop or receive the item through Mondial Relay; payment by card or Bancontact through Stripe.
- Sellers
A dedicated flow for structures
Member structures register through their own flow, manage products, orders and messages, and now use the Kreezalid vendor workspace.
- Steering
Dashboard and moderation
The federation follows registrations, the density of the offer and contributions, and moderates them from one back office.
- Languages
Bespoke, multilingual theme
A theme designed for the federation’s brand, served in French, Dutch, German and English for a country with three official languages.
